sewmom, I really love the colors you chose for your 'house on the lake' quilts. I am especially partial to lighthouses. I have always wondered why but they seem to attract me. Glad you got them finished and thanks for sharing with us.

I am in, I actually started a UFO yesterday, it is pretty good size flannel ragged quilt, it has been lurking around for several months, my goal is to have it completed by next week.

Sent out a top today--a UFO as I had started to make a top last year for Quilts of Valor, then found out they would not take it, as it was poly blends. So I finished it and sent to Texas to be quilted for Homes for Our Troops. Will post a pic when it is done...

I have a real problem trying to figure out what all the abbreviations mean. I see them all the time. like UFO, DH, DD, WIP.
Oh , I just figured that one out, does it mean work in progress? Please explain. I guess you can tell I'm old and don't text on a cell phone.
    Thanks for your help.

UFO-unfinished object, DH-dear husband, DD-darling daughter, WIP-work in progress. this is my knowledge of the abbreviations. I could be wrong. i learned most of them on this board-either by someone asking or by how it was used in a post.

DH is not necessarily DEAR husband. Just saying.

I am working on getting the wedding throw on the frame this weekend and working on a friendship star blocks sashed and have started a mystery quilt by Bonnie Hunter as a reward for finishing two UFO's last week.

This is the 11th UFO quilt this year. There are lots of days I like to sew mindlessly with scraps. This is how this one ended up. The black has shooting stars of bright colors so it worked out well. It's approx 50" X 60". Started with a square of strips and made HST's (half-square triangles).

Congratulations, Sharon G. on your 11th finished UFO. Sharon H., my mouth was hanging open at all you have accomplished and are in the process. lol(laughing out loud)
I have this year finished a Christmas Quilt top that I am about to put on the frame to quilt and I am in the process of binding a shaded 9 patch that was a UFO (quilt top finished years ago, but only quilted this past week). I'll post pic when get the binding done. I'm doing it on the juki, but with a fancy stitch that is taking forever to sew out. :^) I have spent most of this year working on that Christmas quilt top(can anyone say slow?). Did not find this place til last month. This is good encouragement to go a little faster, though how ya'll finish one a month is beyond me, unless it is like my shaded 9 patch that only needed quilting and binding.
