sandpat, I love your "really ugly quilt." Does that make me weird? The colors are fantastic. What's the block?

My UFO is "done." Finished the top at 4:20 yesterday afternoon. Yipee!

My ugly quilt was from a kit by Bernatex called Building Blocks. It was in with a big lot of fabric I won on ebay awhile back. I hated to "waste" it...so..put the blocks together in front of the tv at night, then threw them in a bag in my stash. It is very bright. I think it might turn out ok after its quilted. Thanks.

Honestly, when I said I'd try to finish the quilting on the 8-yr-old UFO, I didn't think I could even come close to getting it done. Now, here I sit with only the binding left to do. That's one time I will have to pat myself on the back.

After the holidays, I will dig deeper and find the "extra blocks" and find something to do with those. And I have several tops to sandwich and quilt. They were waiting to be sent off to be quilted, but I've decided I can do it myself -- it will only take longer. :lol:

Good for you! As for your tops, they might take longer but they'll be better for it, and wont it be nice for you to be able to say "and I did it all myself?"

This is what I worked on New Years eve. I finally had to go to bed then we lost power for several hours New Years Day but here it is finally finished. What to work on next? Hmmmm
