This post has me chuckling! I have some ugly 1980's calico fabrics that I have been holding on to ...for what reason? I am a FABRIHOLIC! So with the Accuquilt lg tumbler die I cut them up and I am now just piecing them together. Lord only knows what the finished product is going to look like. I figure everytime I look at it I will remind myself not to get anymore. Even if it is cheap!

If you liked the fabric.com stuff don't hesitate ordering--they sell out fast. I saw that print and almost ordered it myself.

Mizunogirl, I'm still giggling over this post. Also my FIL always used to say that expression "Not for love nor money" all the time. Thanks for the reminder of my dear FIL :)

Please look at this fabric. I recently made a baby quilt out of this fabric and it turned out really cute. It has your olive green and mustard yellow colors, but those colors are natural for a jungle theme. The flannel is really soft and I muted the colors with a cream accent. I don't think you would be disappointed in this choice of fabric.

Absolutely NOT! Duck colors are an emerald green and yellow.

I love that fabric! I think mustard and olive can be nice, and they are definitely great in this warm fabric!

I'll agree whole-heartedly with this, and after the ugly thing is done you say to yourself "Glad that's over!" and then if you happen the see the quilt later on you sometimes find yourselff thinking "Hey! That's not so bad!!" Go figure.

is she having a baby? or a pit bull? I'd just go with my heart - find brighter values of their drab colors. It'll stand out in that 'nursery'. Sorry, but I tend to speak my mind and those colors sure are strange for a baby's room!!

My second quilt (queen sized) was brown & a soft yellow. It was hard to make, but, easy to give away!
