But Crashnquilt, when you use the chalk, doesn't it rub off easily? My impression of the pounce thing is that it stays marked until you iron it off.

Also, does anyone know if you have to use their stencils or can you use any brand?

    Thanks everyone!

i've never had the ultimate pounce rub off and i roll mine up in a quilting frame so there's tons of contact and the marks always stay until i iron them off - even weeks later.

i don't own any of the stencils from there line. i use the standard quilting stencils that you can buy from anyone or i make my own stencils.

I don't use their stencils. I buy mine from my fabric store. They work great. When I use ultimate powder it doesn't rub off. The regular will, but just a little bit. I can still see the pattern to follow it.

I used a chalk to mark my last quilt. One that your rolled on, but it rubbed off so easliy that I could only mark enough to quilt at a time and it took sooooo much longer. I am hoping the Ultimate chalk won't do that.
