Quilt store inventory has a lot to do with the taste of the person purchasing the material. Maybe their taste in fabric is a lot different from the previous owner and they want to put their own style into the shop. Wish I lived close to LR AR. Too far to drive from Dallas, TX.

Go and buy all you want. You won't find prices like that there again. Enjoy

Smart new owners......great way to let everyone know you are in business and get them to walk in the door and check you out. Also a great way to get rid of old inventory to bring in new stuff.

Everyone will remember that grand opening and many will be back which I'm sure it is what they intend.

The sale was terrific. Everything in the store was 50% until closing. I asked if they were going to replace the quilt fabric and the owner said yes they would buy newer design lines with the money from the sale that is why they were selling the inventory that came with the store for 50% for the day. She said it was a bargain to them to buy it all, so why not sell it fast to buy new? The fabric was Blank, Michael Miller, Karen Combs, Jenny Beyer, South Sea Imports, Alexander Henry and many more quilt shop quality fabric. Older lines but who cares about that? Regular price was from $8.99 to 9.99 a yard. What wasn't sold would be back to regular price thus more profit to buy more fabric. The new fabric would be priced higher. So I thought buy one yard get one free. The shop didn't advertise the sale but there was plenty of customers but not a big crowd to be overwhelming. It was the best fabric buying sale I have been to in years. The three guild members that went with me were downers! Beat all I ever seen. I came out with a lot of quilt shop quality fabric for $5 or less a yard and they each had one small bag with.......1/2 yard cuts of a few fabrics complaining how expensive it was. ? Oh well, I had a great time.
