I like it. Not every one likes soothing. Maybe a dark blue border? Hummmmmm. I think your assistant is considering all of the options too!

You did exactly what I was thinking with the fireworks fabric--left it in large enough pieces to see the design of that piece. As to border, do you have enough fireworks fabric to use it for the border? While I like the white, I don't think it will be as serviceable with that being where hands will be touching it in use. I do like a skinny first border and then a wider outer one. What does a skinny gold piece look like for the first border and then the fireworks on the outside? (Most flags have a gold cord.)

I love it. And the solid white does give you eyes a place to rest,

PS. If you don't have more fireworks, I like that idea of the dark blue as the last border. One that has some mottling sort of movement, like the smoke that remains when the fireworks fade.

Wow, you work fast! What an awesome outcome from those 2 yards of fabric! I don't have any suggestions for borders... ps. love your cat. Mine takes my chair every time I get up, too!

Very nice quilt. I would put a red inner border and a navy outer border. I am going to use your idea. Very nice.

I don't have enough the fireworks fabric left. The smoke looking idea is interesting. Got to look through my stash.

Me too. I wouldn't change a thing. Guess it does need a border of some kind but nothing fancy.
