Default Update on fireworks fabric quilt

I posted late yesterday asking for advice for some fabric I have that has fireworks on it. I got some very good ideas.

Here is what I now have on my design wall. My question now is....Is this too wild? I don't see a place for my eyes to rest on this quilt! Would a solid fabric border tone it down a bit?

This will be a charity quilt, but I still want it to look good.

    Thanks for any advice.

I love how this has turned out. Maybe put a solid blue border on it and call it done. You could use almost any of the blues in the fireworks. A thin lighter blue and the a wider dark would look good

I'd do a thin red border to frame it and a wider dark blue border

The solid white was a good choice. I think it really tones it down. I would look for a couple solids for the border.

Nice quilt - my first thought was use blue to quilt it - in my mind would make the red and white squares blend with the blue focus fabric. Now to kitty resting chin on chair arm - must be a kissing cousin to my dog who does this constantly except on hot days (113 at 2 p.m. today) he heads for the wood floor and rest his chin on the table leg. Stay cool, and keep quilting!

Wow! I love it! No, it's not too wild! Remember it's a fireworks quilt so it better make your eyes pop! LOL. The white was a good choice. I think a red binding would be my choice. No border.
