Thanks, I am surprised that I ended up enjoying this quilt, as I sure was rejecting the whole idea just 6 days ago. :)

I agree that it doesn't need borders, but I like borders a lot, so I am going to play with my fabric now. I borrowed some red from my sister's stash (shhh...she is out of town) and I think I have a blue that might work. There are no strips from the grab bag left...just a few two inch by three inch pieces. Not worth playing with for borders or binding.

You have done a great job! I assume this is still on the "wall" and not sewn together? I do see one thing I would change -3rd block in the first row and then the 2nd row, it looks like two blocks are the same... one on top of the other. Do you see what I mean? I might move one of those.

Unfortunately, it is sewn together. I noticed what you did, but I was unwilling to rip out any more seams. I have the borders on now, and what is done, is done. I guess I just stayed up too late sewing, or I would have noticed those blocks were close together.

I still like it though. I am, right now, taking a break from sewing on the last border. Then I will put it aside and quilt the 3 quilt tops that I should have quilted before I started this top!!

I did learn a lot, as I always do on a quilt. Next time I do a scrappy quilt, if I ever do one again, I will add a few pieces from fabric I have enough of to make a border out of. I really like my borders to be made of fabric that is already in my quilt. Not possible with this grab bag of strips though.
