no no dflynn although I do know Westalee does have a ruler foot. I have the Janome ones already. Thanks for taking the time to respond though!

I just have a bee in my bonnet. We upped our broadband amount per month, so yesterday I was watching some saved up youtubes. I am a great admirer of Esther Aliu's work and skills. Yesterday I watched her youtube on binding. Incredibly thorough, it is an hour long! She used the Westalee ruler at the end for finisihing the binding off. I've always done mine 'sort of like hers, only by guess and by golly'. So now I want a ruler just like the one she uses...sort of a souvenir and a promise to myself to always do my best work.

I did see a few tools similar, but knew you all would know a Westalee source in the US. Am off to check
sew steady. Will let you know!

Not on the SewSteady site at all. I sent them an email asking if they will carry it.
allyopp, no joy at the Chesapeake store, but thank you.

    I'll trudge off to facebook

I just watched the you tube on the binding. I like the idea of using glue. I'm in the mist of putting a binding on a table top and having a problem with one corner. I didn't think of using glue to help with that corner. I also got a binding rule from MSQC that I forgot I had. Boy, did she do perfection work.

I manufacture "Bound to Fit" in Australia and Sew Steady are licensed to make all of our products including the Ruler Foot. I will be talking to Jerry in a few hours about the Binding Tool - Not only is it cheaper to buy our products from the USA but is a whole lot faster delivery to you.

Thanks BillWest. I had no idea Sew Steady would be making the products. I have the Sew Steady extension table and the quality of it is excellent.

Sharon Schamber uses glue when doing her binding also, but quite a bit differently than Esthers. She too has a youtube tutorial on it.

I should say, I bought the curved template & the one for quilting feathers from Sew Steady, not a binding ruler. Sorry.
