Ok, I'm in, I tried last year and failed by March. My problem is I just can't bear to cut some of my fabrics they are so pretty. Lately I've been taking advantage of all the sales on batting and pre black Friday sales. So I really have enough of everything to make lots of quilts and cute things.

Oh yeah!!! I'm in. I've just recently packed up my sewing room to relocate to a new home......I have LOTS of fabric and need to use it before more purchases.....except for items like fusible interacing for a "promised" T-shirt quilt and border fabric.

I have never tried but now is a good time to stop with the purchases. I do most of mine on-line and need to stop! I have enough to make at least 25 quilts that I have planned. Must be an illness but am going to try and break the cycle this year!

I will put up my hand. I made a good start this year and called it the "year of the scrap" - determined to use only what I have and my pile of ever growing scraps - I did well to start with and then "TEMPTATION" found its way in and - what can I say.

Yes keep up the reminders it is very easy to slip back into old ways.

I am doing this now...I can't believe how much I have. I was making a quilt the other day and I told my husband i need to go to the store and buy some brown fabric....he is like you must have some..I looked and oh my goodness...yup have plenty...I have been so good about folding and putting my fabrics in bins that I forgot what I had. I am not buying anymore fabric. I will feel like I have saved a ton of money. Even though I already spent it. I forgot that I have 80 percent of these fabrics...is like I just hit the jackpot. I have been workin going on my scrap buckets also. Its amazing how may quilts can be make from the scrap pile. so count me in...stash and scrap piles.

I will join in again!! Fell off the wagon a time or two but it was for the solids that I just didn't have in my stash. It is hard to believe it has only been a little over two years since I returned to this hobby and the amount of stuff you acquire along the way.

I think this is a great idea. I have been trying to do this since I have really run out of space to store more fabric. It has become frustrating to locate things and am constantly surprised since I find fabric that I had forgotten about...i.e. Christmas fabric...was about to go buy some when I found a whole box full that I purchased two or three years ago. I do not work with patterns much only use them for ideas and guidelines so I find it fun and challenging to just look at my stash and see what I can put together from what I have. I find the process more creative than following someone else's directions. However, I must say I have made a few quilts that do not fit the bed exactly as I wish...LOL.
