My husband works at a summer camp where kids are always using magic markers on walls! They use a product from Home Depot to remove marker from walls, curtains, etc. Sorry, don't remember name but, maybe someone there might be able to help with it. And as many have said, test on scraps first.

Thank You all for the advice. I did get the permanent marker out and there are no signs of it happening. First I used Grandma's Spot Remover and had no luck. I let it air dry. That's when I put out my cry of help on here. So then I grabbed my cheap can of hairspray (Pantene brand). It did not say on the can if it was scented or unscented. I drenched it and let it soak 10 minutes and I held a cotton pad on the top of and underneath the fabric and tried to blot it. Unsuccessful again! Now I was really panicking because I have used hairspray in the past to get ink out of clothes and it worked like magic (but I think it was Rave brand. So I grabbed the Dawn dish soap and put it on the marked spot and let it soak a few minutes and scrubbed it a little with a toothbrush. Then I held a washcloth underneath it and sprayed with water and it came right out. Miracle! Thank God-- because this is really a customer's quilt, not mine! Thanks for all the advice you all gave to try to help me.
