Would you believe I've been using it for years and never knew you were supposed to put it in water????? My only problem is that is runs out faster than I want most of the time. I have to hold it at an angle to avoid getting more than I want.

I live where it's hot and dry. I shake it, but have never used hot water. I use it all the time! Great stuff!

Is Fray Block and Fray Check the same thing?

Fray Block dries soft while Fray Check dries hard.

My Fray Check dries soft and flexible. I know that is used to be very hard - but the last few years I have used it on the back of my embroidery and it works very well. I do remember some I had a few years ago was like having plastic dripped on the fabric, but that has not been the case for the past few years for the bottles I have.

I use it on my serger tails. I've never ran mine under hot water but have never had a problem with thick flow either. In fact, it runs too much as it is. But if you have a heated ironing board, rather than hot running water, you could place it on the heated board for a minute or two. Or even a non-heated board after ironing a sem.
