Using Hemp Fabrics in Quilting?
Has anyone used hemp fabrics in their quilting projects? I have some scraps from various, other projects that I'd like to incorporate in a quilt. Most of my scraps are blends: hemp/silk, hemp/stretch polyamide, hemp/cotton. Hemp seems to hold up really well...it's tough. I would think that it would work well in every day, utility quilts.

I haven't done a mixed fiber quilt in many years. But I have done some with hemp, wool and blends. All in the same quilt. They can be very pretty and heavy too. I gave one that I made to my sister and told her to be sure to dry clean it if she felt in needed laundered.

I haven't looked recently, but about 10 years ago when I was still working I had a little cash and thought about starting a little business selling hemp fabrics. I found many articles about clothing but very few about quilts.
I'd like to use them/try them in quilting but have not had the opportunity. It's one of those things about preferring to buy fabric in person, I want to see how it drapes, how the light hits it, and most especially the weight and weave.
