    Thanks, Beverly. I have already trimmed down the diamond shaped template and then sliced it in two when I was cutting the strips. It's now reinforced with good old duct tape.

    You also might try a really small rotary cutter to go around the templates. This will give you a little more control over where you are actually cutting.

    I've also read, that if your template is not thick enough, to double it - cut another and glue together.

    I haven't used the thin plastic template material for a while for that reason. I did find that putting the grabber circles on the template material and then using my ruler to cut against helped. The grabber things keep the template material from sliding around and getting "trimmed" with the rotary cutter. Stips cutting and good rulers are the way I go now. :lol:

    you can get sandpaper that has a sticky back to it. That's what I use I also use a paper punch to make my dots. Put a dot on each corner of the template and no more shifting.
