I use them when I wash a new quilt for the first time. I use 3. They work great and I tell the reciepient of the quilt to use them the first couple of times they wash the quilt.

I've reused mine probably up to six times, if it comes out the same colour it was when I started. As soon as it gets dark from dyes I toss it. Aren't they just the greatest little invention!!!

I love them for batiks. Have also used them on my son's shirt when he washed wrong colors together and one bleed on the other. Rewashed while shirt was wet and color catcher took the color and "bleed" was gone!!

I've never tried that, will have to remember this, because when I've not used a Color Catcher & had something bleed I just thought it was ruined.

Do you use the ones by Shout or another brand?
