On vacation - recommend LQS??
I am on vacation and staying with family at Andrews Air Force Base just outside of DC. Can anyone a good LQS? I have to leave base during the day while the family is at work and usually wander about 30 - 45 miles awhile. I am not much into the museums but have seen a few. Looking for something new to see and do.
Thanks!!
Thanks!!

I'm not in Washington, but I found this listing on Yelp (with reviews) that might be helpful:

Oops! I see Yelp is extremely lenient in what they might term a quilt shop. Found this yellow pages listing:

I've been to Capital Quilts in Gaithersburg, MD while visiting my son. It's a very nice shop with lots of bright fabrics and cute patterns. Also, G Street has fabrics of all kinds. There are stores in Rockville, MD, Centreville, VA, and Falls Church, VA.

Found one that I think would be really great - Material Girls Boutique in La Plata, Md. I say think because they had alot of their stuff packed up to leave for a show in Annapolis. I couldn't get to the show because my daughter and son-in-law wanted to take me out on their new sailboat - and I must say, I had a fabulous time!!!
Found another one in Hughesville, MD called Michelle's. I think I might would like to go there for a sewing day. She has a few machines set up for people to come use when they need help - that's me!! But her fabric area could use a lighting update. Very helpful staff there!!

Capital Quilts would be my first choice and perhaps G St Fabrics in Rockville. These are a bit "far" from Andrews but both are great - Web Fabrics in Purciville VA and That Little Quilt Shop in Madison VA
