    That looks like you could get some really interesting secondary patterns once you have more blocks to play with.

    Both placements are pretty...and you may come up with a 3rd or 4th as you go along...and they'll be pretty too!

    Did you finish your quilt? I was searching the net for Magic 9 patch and found your post. I am making a magic9 now in civil war colors red white & blue. I really like your second layout. I will try searching for a finished quilt.

    Sorry they are not smaller I had just made another couple when I took that pic :twisted:

    The blocks are all made the same way, which is a lot more complicated than the original D9P and I wouldn't recommend it if you don't like fussy cutting or bias seams :shock: I just have more choices of layout because of the choice of my fabrics, I will decide on my choice when I have done a few more rows.
