Very Frustrated

The quilt is a mariner star (my first) and in the same part of each block of a particular row of blocks there is a problem with my point. It appears that there might be excess fabric or the next block in the following row, which is pulled tight, might be too small for the space.. I hope that makes sense. I would take a picture but the picture isn't showing the problem...
So on my design wall it is mostly flat but somewhat lumpy and I know that the lumpy part is a problem...

LUMPY? I've heard some quilters take a hammer to lumpy intersections. Give it a whack!
Quilting is a lot of practice, practice, practice. While learning A technique, you'll either love it and use it again, or hate it and never touch it again in your quilting life....you may not even finish it because it's sooooo annoying.
I'm sure other quilters can attest to the fact that they have UFOs of techniques that they hated while they were working on it and just left it for UNDONE! Right Gals?
