The Blue/Gray came to mind to me as well. It's prominent in the rug and the pillow. It would look great in the quilt.

Do you all consider "teal" to be a blue or a green?
Love the look without the royal blue, too! It really is taking great shape!

I consider teal to be a mix (of blue and green) and a eye catcher. When I was young enough and still trying to be fashionable I made a lot of my clothes with teal fabrics. The brights always did more for my skins, I thought.

Now I don't wear much that's fashionable and I'd much rather quilt than sew my own clothes.

I was impressed with Bebe's response as it was a better statement of my thoughts. I think you need to have more confidence in yourself. It is an heirloom being born !

Thank you! :D Normally I do have a bit more confidence in myself. But I want to see my daughter's face light up.... And when we recently had a garage sale she brought over clothes, etc. In it were two brand new tops/shirts I had gotten her, and never worn! I took them back, and I'm wearing them! lol!!!!
This is what I've got sewn together so far. There's a few blocks I wish I would have placed better, but it's reaching the point where good enough, is good enough. I need this one done and another for my step-daughter by next Sunday! Then no more birthdays until the end of October! :D :D
I'm half thinking of using the cream and brown as fairly narrow borders. It can't go over 5' as that's all the wider my new quilting frame is. lol!!!
Thank you, all of you, again!!!! :D

I think it is just lovely, the colors would go very well with my sofa. Chuck them this way.
    I love them.

Oh! The colors are wonderful and the pattern not traditional. I LOVE IT! I wonder what some crooked squares thrown in would look like? Great job Great colors!!

You made the right decision to get rid of the blues. Now it is a very chic, sophisticated palette. Nice gift!!
