I have the 875 and I love it! The throat space is about 10", I've been quilting a baby quilt this weekend.
The 835 is a nice machine too, just doesn't have a few of the things that the 875 has.

I am getting ready to post my Viking Emerald 203 for sale on here, I think. Not sure if people buy machines on here?? Anyway, just don't need this machine, as I have 3 others! :-O It has been a good machine though :)

I'm still thinking about getting this. I got the singer 201 thinking I could just use this for the larger throat space which is nice, but the moter lags sometimes and the repair man said it's just showing it's age so i guess it's not gonna last all that long :( I'll let you all know what I do :)

I have this machine and I absolutely love it. I believe the opening is 10". It really works good. Hope this is helpful.

I have two Vikings, the #1Plus and a 330. I love these two machines and have really good luck with them. I would love to have a new one but can't really justify it right now. Vikings are really well made and if you can find the ones made in Sweden buy them over the ones made in China.
