Default VIKING HUSQVARNA 500 - Throat Space? Good For Quilting?

I'm looking at a Used Viking Husqvarana 500 machine on ebay. I can't find anywhere that they talk about the throat space. It is being sold as a Quilting Machine in the description. Does anyone have this machine and know the dimension of the throat? Any help would be fantastic.

E-mail the seller and ask the size of the throat space.

It is the precursor to the Viking Lily, a machine I had for a few years. It was a great machine, but it did not have a larger than usual throat. Viking did not start making a larger throat until they came out with the Viking Sapphire.

I had the Viking 500 and it does not have a large throat space. I now have a Viking Sapphire 855 and it has a large throat for quilting.

I have a Viking 500 great machine, but the throat space is not good for quilting any full size or larger quilts. I do quilt on m ive just not big "stuff". Unfortunately when you get into the larger throats .. the price really starts to jump.

Thank you for the information. I've sent a message to the seller asking the size.
