I want to upgrade my mid-arm sewing machine to an 18" with a frame. Would like feedback on the price and performance of the Viking MegaQuilter 18x8 with Inspira Frame.

If I were you, I'd join the homequiltingsystems group at http://groups.yahoo.com . Check their files for information on different machines and setups, then search the forum for posts about the MegaQuilter and/or Inspira Frame. You should find lots of information posted by people who use this setup. Once you are familiar with what is already there, you can post on the forum to ask for opinions and experiences with the setup you are contemplating. (They frown on people jumping right in with questions before checking out the files section and old posts.) This is a great group for unbiased information on quilting setups.
