I was at a consignment shop this weekend to drop a few things off. On my way out the door in the corner of the shop was 3 large boxes and some bags and batting. It had a sign that read "Quilting Material" I asked the lady about it, she said somone had just brought it in less than an hour befor. She said she didn't think it was something anyone would want, So I made her an offer and it ALL came home with me! These blocks are the most beautiful works of art! It took me over 6 hours to count and seperate! I eeven found 3 feed sacks and excess pieces of them. It sadens me to see somones work just basically pitched! Now I need to figure out what I am going to do with them.

oh my, what a lucky find! For you and the maker. I buy old blocks in good condition, every time I find them. No quilter/piecer should have worked that lovingly hard and have it unappreciated!

That is so cool! It is so nice that it came to you so that it will not be destroyed by someone else.
