    Default vintage Singer 319w/36w

Hello all. This is my first post and I am so happy you have accepted me into the fold.
I do have a question to begin. I have the Singer 319w and 306w. As you probably know, most of the accesssories are interchangeable; however, regarding the bobbin case - could it be that contrary to things I've read here - vs. ebay - that is not always the case. I don't know when this is not so. My 306 chewed up the bobbin case that I used in the 319. Is it possible this is totally because of the needles I used or do they take different cases??

According to this website, they take the same bobbin case:

However, there are two different bobbin cases for them. If you look carefully, one has an opening in the side and the other is closed.

It depends. Some of them take the open case, some the closed case. If your machine 'chewed' up the closed case, odds are it needs the open case.
