I LOVE the cows!! I am thinking of signing my place back to the bank..living on disability it is hard to keep up with. over 5 acres and I am upside down on the mortgage after 15 years of payments!! I am actually getting excited about moving, and decorating a new smaller easier to take care of home..hoping to get a 2BR mobile in a nice family park..Was thinking about fabric just like your cows for the kitchen!! So glad you found what you needed!

I have mega cleaning to do this week. Lots of family coming in end of the week and must have the clutter corralled--I want to sew instead. That's okay cuz sis is bringing her machine and we can sew together--we never get to so it will be fun.

I have finally been able to work on my sweet sister's X&Os quilt. I got 2 rows together. Just 6 more to go. Now that I have a system for putting all the different colored pieces together, it should go a lot faster. I am using eight different batiks in jewel tones. I want it to be random, but I am just a little too controlling to do that without stressing out about it. So, I worked out a system so that I can control the randomness. lol. When I get more done, I will post pics. I am very happy with the way it is coming along.

This is not my lucky day...I asked for 2 yards of the white fabric paid for 2 yards and its only 1 yard....praying I have enough...and..how can I prove that I only got a yard...oh well lesson learn..I need to watch them when they cut fabric.

That will be a good looking quilt. I like the fact that the butterflies are not all at the same angle.

That is cute! Don't you hate it when you underestimate? I hate that when I have bough FQ at Wal-Mart and then they are gone! Those butterflies are too cute! On the side, I made myself a portable design board cheaply like this. I went to Hancock Fabrics and they were more than happy to give me as many big rolls as I wanted and more (they are at least 5 feet long and sturdy.) Next, I bought just a cheap twin-sized sheet from Wal-Mart ($5,00). I sewed a 5-inch sleeve in the top and the bottom and put the tubes through them. The one on the bottom is basically just for weight. I dropped some clothesline string tied to a washer through the tube on top to make a hanger then knotted it in the middle. Not too heavy and you can hang basically anywhere! Total cost 5 bucks. We won't discuss how much I spent on fabric and notion at Hancock!

Good news...had enough fabric and that was the only one she short changed me. so I just paid 24.00 for one yard...hubby thinks I should call them in the morning but it will cost me that much for gas to get there and back.
