I'm so sorry about your kitty. My old pup has cancer and she's just been sleeping all day. I'm quilting to try to keep my mind off her illness.

Okay, I finished sewing the binding on a lap sized Christmas quilt. Have a look. It is a cheater panel, but I think it looks festive for the holidays. This is the second one I have made, and I have one more to do. I put red fleece on the back and did quilting around some of the squares in each block. My MIL loved the one I gave her for Christmas. It is soft and warm with the fleece backing.

Now I am on to sewing the sashing and cornerstone strips to put together my Easter BOM. I can't wait to finish all the BOM projects I have started. This is my 3rd year to work on finishing UFOs. I think I can get them all done this year if nothing interupts me.

This is nice, Irishgal... I made a Union Jack quilt for my daughter, without pattern, several years ago. To get the vertical center stripe to line up properly, I found I had to mark both sides of the horizontal stripe, where to line them up. Worked fine, then. Let us see your pretty quilt when you get it done!

I am staying around the house this weekend, recovering from an awful wisdom tooth extraction on Friday. When you are 58 it's no picnic! Last night I got the bug to cut strips for a Bento Box quilt. I love those! So I have cut and cut and if I get anything together to show you, I will... Been mostly lying on the couch and knitting.

Have finished cutting out squares for D9P and also cut out HST for the third quilt. Have done the 60 3 1/2 " squares am going to watch the very last episode ever of Foyles War and then I may cut out the 60 6 1/2 x 3 1/2 rectangles before bed. Have a free day tomorrow so will continue with VQW and get some sewing done. Have delayed Mystery Quilt until Thursday or Friday depending on how quickly I piece the three quilts.

Thanks Raggymom for organising the VQW it has got me back into quilting mode.

I'm glad so many of you are getting things done! I'm not getting any quilting done today. I had church this morning then this afternoon and tonight is cleaning. We have a realtor coming tomorrow afternoon to advise us what home improvements would give increase the house value for when we want to sell in the future. And tomorrow morning, I get to take two highly stressed male cats to the vet for annual checkup. I'm not sure which of us will be more stressed and the vet's office is literally less than 5 minutes away! My last chore of the day is cleaning up the sewing room Does that count as quilting???

Thought you might like to see what I did today. It is my first attempt to make an 8 point star, I am feeling pretty good for the first attempt. Now I have to make the borders.

You girls have done a beautiful job with this pattern. The UNION JACK is now on my to-do list.
