I started cutting this out last Saturday, just finished today, happy to have it done! Hopefully I can get it on the longarm in the next few days if I can find a thread that will work well, and then move on to a new project.

Tallchick, that top is gorgeous! You really worked a lot on it to have it almost finished by this time!
Yesterday I made 11 blocks for my Ripple jelly roll top. I plan to sew the final 7 blocks today. Then I'll have to decide on a border or 2.

Just finished piecing top for Project Linus. I was sewing with reckless abandon again and have enough blocks left over for half of the required number. So off we go again and THIS time will keep better "score." My 4" was really 8" when it came to assembling and therefore extra. Time for a brownie and THEN sew.

I have been enjoying the class. There’s a lot of information packed into the class. She includes info on color theory and how to use Sun Dyes (they behave a little like watercolors when you paint them on fabric). She also does some quick drawings of various quilting designs that you can use to quilt the piece. And there’s a segment on painting with Lumiere paints as well. She doesn’t hold your hand as much with this one as she did with the 2017 block of the month where she showed the specific colors to paint and the specific quilting pattern for you to use in each part of the quilt. She leaves a lot of the artistic and quilting decisions up to the individual student in this one. The videos play through facebook and I have not been able to figure out how to skip from one part of a video to another, but other than that, I’ve found it to be pretty easy to follow along.

I’ll try to post a pic this evening.

I've now completed all 35 blocks for my Ripple top. I'm considering borders to make the quilt large enough. That part isn't finalized.

My string blocks are half done, saving the rest for tomorrow. Pam, I dream about quilting designs too!

I have so far completed my first block and am thrilled about how it came out. I thought I would be doing well just getting one done and now I am on my way to making my planed on 4. I am still not sure I will reach my goal but I am hopeful. I posted a picture of it in the 'pictures' forum.

Here's a picture of the Helen Godden Magic Mushroom quilt I've been working on. We started out by using transparent dyes to paint the mushrooms on muslin, then painted the background dark. Then quilted the mushrooms and the background. Now I'm working on using opaque paints to paint some areas of the background and mushrooms. I'm finding this last part to be the most tedious because I have a hard time staying inside the lines

tallchick, that is beautiful, I love the solid colors. Great piecing.👍
I was able to finish two table runners this afternoon. I cooked yesterday AM,then went and visited my parents, so I never made it to the sewing machine. This AM, I did some deep cleaning I have been wanting to do, vacuumed under the washer and dryer, pulled out the fridge, removed the backing and vacuumed the motor and fan and underside of it. Washed the floor, wall, while it was away from the wall. Cleaned all the grout in my kitchen. Put away Christmas. I cleaned the house during all this too. All set until spring cleaning now, just got to keep up with the weekly stuff. So needless to say I was happy to do some sewing.😁

QM, I got tired just reading about your day! I sewed the last 7 of 35 blocks, pressed & trimmed them. Tomorrow I take them to my friend's house where we will decide on the best color arrangement.
