Got the final layout for the memory quilt sorted so have been pressing and trimming the ties which are already stabilized. Did trim a few of the 4 patches but not in the mood for them. Also been watching the Daytona, just gave DH a scare when the last wreck happened. I was upstairs and started yelling O-we O-we. Had to give him a few hugs to settle him down, he was watching a movie.

I followed the link and I agree, what a great tutorial. I like QATG patterns, and your tutorial is great, great directions and pictures. THank you for posting it, and thank you Copycat for posting the link.

You’re welcome! I wrote that tute for my swap buddies in the Boom swap who were asking me how I did QAYG with my Boom blocks. The easiest way to explain it was with a tute. I also like the method of joining with wide sashings. One of these days I may put up a tute for that method.

Just like the little girl, Alice, in the movie Despicable Me!

Great pictures, thanks! That Unicorn quilt is so cute, midwife.
It is Family Day long weekend here in BC so today I will be spending my time with my Sister doing some birding. Yesterday I did squish in an hour in the sewing room, and managed to get the brown thread satin stitched on my Row by Row and started on the beige... no rush.... any chance I get to spend outside or with my family, I take.

Got to spend yesterday with my sons, their wives and our granddaughter. Great way to spend the afternoon.

Today I sewed 1 pair of harem pants and just did quilt top for my granddaughter. Will quilt it this week for her Baptism next week. Two more pairs if harem pants before I go to rehearsal for Wizard of Oz. Lots of alterations to do when I get there.

    Have a good week everyone.

Ok, y'all, here's my report for this VQW. I finished the last of the bindings on the 8 baby quilts, sewed 18 crib sheets and started sorting out the fabric for the new tops! Whew! This was my first VQW that I completed all I had planned to do. When is our next weekend? I can hardly wait!!
