I am SEW in again...lol. taking a break from sewing for PL and making pillow cases for a friend who brings them to kids in hospitals. Started a new-to-me pattern on Thursday. Lesson learned: don't sew when eyes are still dilated.

Pattern said you will be able to have a finished pillow case in 15 min. NOT! But now that I know what I'm doing, I have process down to about 30 min. Today doing assembly line sewing and have 7 "in the works" and 3 all done.

Different kind of fabraic chaos on my cutting table but much easier to manage.

DH missing nothing on the design wall. So sad. I told him to make something if it bothers him. Not going to hold my breath.

I was able to finish the jelly roll rug last night. It is an order, I previously posted a runner, same materials, I have one more runner to finish for the lady. she wanted it to measure 50x65", and it's spot on. I can't even believe my math skills/calculations were that good. I just have to finish ironing it and trimming the threads. I plan on checking back in to read and get caught up on what everyone has been doing this weekend. My DD and her family will be here soon, or I'd love to sit and read right now. This weekend is so motivating for me.

Tallchick - like your jelly roll quilt+
    Thimblebug6000 - you're busy! Nice work.
    Railroaderbrat - gorgeous throw
    Sync - cute helper!
WMU Teacher - productive weekend for you as usual
Quiltah Mama - love your rug
And lots of binding going on.
I got all the background and body pieces cutout yesterday. Pulled flannel scraps for the bands on the sweaters. Today, hopefully, I'll get the ears, tails, eyes, noses and sweater parts cutout. Tomorrow going on a small road trip with friends to a quilt shop north of here,

Hey all, last VQW I promised to post pics of my quilts that are currently being shown in a gallery here in town.
I've posted them over in the pictures section.

Now back to making the 40 log cabin blocks that I need for the final round of my Around We Go quilt....

I love the Halloween rug, never really thought to make a themed rug.
I have one church quilt left to stitch down, trying to figure what color thread and which pattern. The quilt is orange and browns with striped fabric and large flowers, they used a dark tan sheet for the backing. ???

Then its on to the runners and UFO's

    Ceila, Nice work.

My day just took a left turn, I did finish the quilt decided to use teal on the front small zig-zag and khaki on the back. Then DH came in from his garage/playroom and took a shower. I had waited to do the laundry until he had the shower since the towels were going in. Guess what, water in the basement, we could not clear it ourselves so waiting on a plumber. They said about 2 hours but at least we got someone to show up on a Sunday. Between this and the unexpected service work on DH's truck our savings just took a hit, and no more sewing for me today.
