Well I took a break from my quilt top and worked on my quilt guild challenge--a small zipped boxy bag, and I finished it!! I posted a picture of it in the Pictures section of this Board so won't duplicate here. Now back to a few more blocks!!!

It's over Thanks for hosting another great VQW, RaggieMom. Despite working most of the weekend, I made lots of progress on my new quilt. 30 blocks made, and I think I'm going to make 5 more. That will give me a 50x70 quilt without borders. Or I might add a plain border to it, to make it a bit bigger. This will be a donation to Quilts of Valour (Canada) I think, although I do love the colours...

They are part of a quilt. Name delft quilt designed by Liz Hands. There are 25 blocks in the centre area with a border of equal designs. It is going to take 12 months , meeting Liz once a month and doing 4 blocks each time. N ext meeting will be 4 blocks and the centre same size. Then quilt as you go technique to join and. Love all the work that's been done this weekend I especiaaly like Kristakz's blocks. Love the colors. I have been working on a controlled scrappy strip QAYG baby quilt as I thought I didn't get anywhere near as much done as I hoped. Managed to cut the binding for 3 quilts, attach binding to one quilt(still to be hand stitched) and joined the rows together on the baby quilt.

It was fun seeing all the quilts everyone was working on this weekend. The various colors and patterns always inspire me and make me think of additional projects for myself See you all next VQW! Thanks for joining me.
