I've got my rows all sewn together, and I thought I did the math correctly to end up with a quilt 1" short of the maximum in both directions. It ended up 69x55 and the max is 68x54. I may just go with it and tell them to turn it under when they mount it. It's going in a shadow box that is already mounted to the wall. This quilt is replacing the one that was up there which was given to a retiring employee. I'm sure that one was larger than the box.

The one before that belonged to the previous store manager and she took it with when she left. The box was made for that quilt.

I am fairly new to Board and quilting. I have a few questions? What is a Virtual Quilting weekend? How do I join?

Little Lulu the VFQ works as inspiration. We declare what we plan to be working on, post pix, especially to show progress. It's been an inspiration for me to see what everyone is working on.

Welcome and Jump right in Little Lulu. The VQW is hosted once a month by Raggiemom. It’s a lot of fun.

Wow, lots of great projects again this VQW! No sewing here to report yet, but I did clean 4 windows inside and out (and all the adjacent areas near the windows LOL) so we can hang some new blinds. Nothing like a shiny clean window and a little sunshine to brighten the day! Feeling accomplished!

No sewing here... Pulled all the gear and cabinets either out of sewing room or away from walls and doing the annual vac/wiping baseboards that you can't normally see.

It's so fun to see what everyone is working on. And someone said something about choc chip cookies. I could go for some! I'm going down to baste up some quilts, and I'm cutting and sorting pieces to start a Tula Pink "Fandango" kit. And I really need to post some photos as I'm finishing things but not posting them!

When I went up to Madeleine Island for a week long class at the School of Arts, there were jars of homemade choc chip cookies so we could eat as many as we wanted. It was an awesome perk!

That was me. I made 5 doz chocolate chip cookies yesterday, and a huge pan of lasagna last night. That was on top of sewing 12 Nine Patch blocks yesterday.

I put the binding on this quilt today, it's been waiting for a couple weeks. This is a free pattern from EnglandStreet blog called Briar Rose quilt. It uses 1 jelly roll and yardage for the background. It's pretty easy to make.

Christine, I love your Briar Rose Quilt. I was just thinking yesterday I"d like to start cutting 2 1/2" scraps for a Road to Oklahoma. This looks very similar.
