I am enjoying hearing about everyone's projects! I finished the hand quilting on this Watermelon picnic quilt. Now to bind it and it is complete- it has been a WIP for way too long!

Sorry my pictures seemed to deteriorate. When I posted them they showed up, but now they are just dead links to attachments. This site drives me crazy. Trying again...

I just got back from town. I did find a light box at Michaels, and some Frixion pens at Office Depot. Those pens are SO HARD to find in my area!
I also stopped by Hancocks because they had a big sign out announcing the drop to 40% off. The store is starting to look picked over. I did buy my wool batting now, that is for an old top I am going to hand quilt. Most of the good scissors and quilting rulers are gone. I was surprised they had plenty of the wool batting. Most of the cotton was gone. So sad to see our stores like that.
I also picked up two quilts from the longarmer. This is the first time EVER that someone else has quilted any of my quilts. It feels a bit weird but I'm glad they are done! We traded quilting for a roll of high loft batting I bought by accident at Marshall's. She can use it on her long arm for donation quilts. She did a nice job. I'll show them as soon as I get the excess batting trimmed off.
Love the projects you all have been posting!

Raggiemom- your lone star is super and can't help but notice how perfect your piecing is.
Sewbizgirl - those socks are fun - wish I could knit, I could never get the hang of it.
I just have 6 more blocks that need a quilt motif, decided on a bumblebee, found a suitable line drawing online, scaled the size down, now just need to pounce on some chalk to mark the design. Also designed a label using the Avery app (so many design possibilities) keeping my fingers crossed that I can get my printer to print on fabric ironed to freezer paper.

How's everyone doing on their projects? I just finished the last of the Storm at Sea blocks for daughter's wedding quilt (2nd anniversary in Sept!) and she's coming out tomorrow and after we ride the horses, she's going to lay the blocks out how she wants them and I'll try to get a picture. Hoping to get a couple of houseplants repotted before she gets here tomorrow. Since it's too hot here to sit and hand bind a quilt needing it, I plan to dig out some embroidery work that needs to be done to finish up my Route66 quilt for sitting in front of tv tonight.

Hi girls! I hope you all are cruising along on your projects. I have gotten a lot done in the garden and on these quilts. They are both going to be around 72 by 72 when they are done.
Here are little sneak peeks of the blocks I am working on. Oh and a set of winter place mats that need quilting.
