    Default Virtual Quilting Weekend--5/27 - 5/30

Welcome! It's time for another Virtual Quilting Weekend I hope you can join us as we share what we're working on this weekend and encourage each other. Don't be surprised if you pick up a few ideas for future projects when you see what others are quilting. And for those who are cleaning/organizing their rooms (or shopping those sales this weekend!) yes that counts too! Don't forget to share pictures of your progress.

I have some WIPs (works in progress for new quilters) that I don't want to become UFOs (unfinished objects). So hopefully I'll make some good progress on those.

Next VQW will be July 1-July 4.

Yay! I've been hoping there'd be a VQW this weekend. Maybe this will give me a kick in the butt to get back into my sewing room. I have a block for a class tomorrow that I must finish today. And a quilt to put on the longarm, which was promised to a customer for June 1. Then, if those are out of the way I want to finish 2 current piecing projects and then see what's next in my sewing room (which might require cleaning it up).

I am going to be pressing, starching and trimming these blocks and hopefully get the layout started this weekend. One design wall clean off ready to start playing with these blocks!

I just completed the assembly of a Mexican star wallhanging. I'm hoping to do the quilting this weekend.

I will be working on hand quilting my niece's wedding quilt. Then also working on my Dear Jane. I have made 9 squares in the last two weeks and I need to keep moving on it. I want the top done by September.

Yay!! I've had to miss the last couple, but I am in for this week-end. First off, I am covering a window seat pillow for a friend that I have been procrastinating like crazy. Thanks for hosting this!

First customer quilt complete. And proof-of-concept pantograph storage system setup. Needs some tweaks on prototype number two. First recommendation - don't install it between a corner and another shelving unit. The planned access mode, by pulling the dowels outwards to release them, simply doesn't function when blocked by said wall and shelf.
