I'm hoping to finish that darned quartered stripes quilt top. All of that matching has made me swear more than once. I'm hoping it goes to the LA on Tuesday. I have several waiting in the wings and I'm tired of that aggravating beast. As much as I liked that fabric when I bought it, I've developed a disdain for it since.

I finished sewing all 18 of the border units for my Allietare. Today I started to put the top together. Unfortunately, as I was arranging the blocks and border units, I noticed that 5 of the border units were sewn wrong .......... oh d@mn! But I did get a couple of the rows together. Tomorrow I'll start to tackle the frog stitching on those dang border units. Here's my progress .........

I got some work done on the king sized quilt I'm making using the Quilting in Sections technique. I have it all ready to sandwich now. Hopefully, tomorrow I'll get all three sections sandwiched and maybe one of them quilted. I've stalled om this project and really want to get it done soon so I can take the comforter off our bed. It's getting a big warm for it.

Need some help: how do you turn a corner using the decorative serpentine stitch? I wasn't happy with how the first corner turned out, so for the other 3 what I did was stitch almost to the corner, stopped, cut the thread, turned the quilt, then skipped a smidge down the next side.

I use a Janome 8200. I haven't found how to do this from a google search.

I made a Take 5 quilt top at a guild workshop in 2010. Take 5 mins, choose 5 fabrics and make a quilt top in 5 hours.
(and take 7 yrs. to decide how to quilt it..(my addition).

I was new to quilting and had not yet learned to quilt designs. Here we are in 2017 and VQW inspired me to get this ufo out. I pieced the backing, made the binding and made the quilt sandwich. It is on my design wall now waiting to be quilted.
I am celebrating an Easter Sunday birthday today ...and wish all of you a happy VQW!

Wow, looks like many of you are making great strides...even if it is housekeeping rather than quilting. Happy Easter!

That color combination is most impressive. It just seems to pop. Thanks for sharing. I have the pattern, but have En Provence spread out all over my table.

I ended up driving my son and his girlfriend back to school, after her car broke down. So that stole 5 hours from my day. Not much progress on my projects, but I did get one quilted before the phone call came. And got the backing for the next washed and ready to go, so today has a new plan.

I got three labels attached in the last two days, and went through the pictures of the quilts I've made and found a few more to do. Feels good to get them done.
