I love VQW. I can't wait to start seeing pics of what everyone is getting accomplished.
As for myself, I had planned on making dresses for my niece this weekend, but since it is a VQW, I will work on a years old UFO instead. It is a Dresden Plate that just needs the border so I can sandwich it. The backing and batting are already pressed and waiting. My son's GF saw it when I was looking for something else, and loved it, so I want to give it to her for Christmas.

I'm working on my grandtwins' baby quilts. My hope is to have both finished before the shower (Sept 15th). So far so good. My granddaughter's is almost finished. My grandson's is about 1/4 made. I just love saying "my granddaughter" and "my grandson"-- music to my ears!!
The babies are due Dec 1, but I hope they come on my dad's b'day around Thanksgiving. It'd be so amazing for him as a great-grandfather to share his birthday with his great-grandchildren!

How awesome to have a virtual quilt along! I need to finish binding this heart shaped wall hanging I made (from following the Love Patchwork and Quilting magazine directions in German ... pretty proud of myself for getting this far).
The curves aren't too difficult, I just need to figure out the inverted corner/inside point/whatever you call it where the two curves meet at the top ;P

And I'm so close to finishing my second quilt top - I just have to sew the rows together (including one partial seam, which I've been avoiding).

I’m in! Missed this post yesterday, but spent all day quilting so... Today I want to finish quilting the background stuff on the quilt I've been working on. Then I can quilt the circles that will be floating across the top. Hopefully I can get those done by tomorrow so I can bind it on Sunday and get photos on Monday. Wish me luck, I’m working against a Sept. 5 deadline for entry to a show...

Looks like a big group this weekend!
I want to bind my Silvia's Bridal Sampler quilt today so I can take it to the Guild meeting tomorrow (my second meeting) and also bind the king quilt for my bed. I gave away the one I had on the bed so have been using a queen size, and that has been fine for the warm summer nights but will need the larger quilt soon.
I need to make a comfort quilt for an 11 year old girl who is getting her tonsils out in a few weeks. She loves mint green and rabbits, so I've got fabric and pattern selected.

I would like to join in as well this weekend, I have a lot of projects that I hope to finish.
Autumn is in the air here in Wisconsin as the days are getting shorter and the leaves have already started to change! Working on a fall colored wall hanging that I just finished quilting and need to get the binding done, also have another finished quilt that just needs the binding sewn to the back.
The new 9 patch swap sign ups began yesterday and I would like to get a few sets made for that as well. Lots to do and can't wait to get started!

Oh yeah!! I'm in! Still recovering from that horrible colonoscopy and I have 10 baby quilts ready for binding hand-work. Perfect to sit and hand sew like crazy... no company... no housework... maybe I'll even give up eating... well, let's not get too crazy here... eat but maybe not wash the dishes!??! Thanks for letting me join up with y'all. Let's start!!!

Lovely heart piece, OleaBlossom! Good luck with that inside miter.
Rob, can't wait to see your show quilt.
Zozee, I'm also waiting for two grandbabies to be born, tho cousins rather than twins. They are our first too. So exciting, isn't it? We are over the moon! Ours will be born next Feb. and April.
