Watson - those are very pretty blues!

I've not been feeling real inspired lately, but that is mostly because I've been trying hard this spring to get caught up with quilting and binding so I can take a load of quilts with to the family reunion on the 20th. I've got 8-9 quilt finished and another 8-9 waiting to have the binding sewn down on the front side. I'm playing with my embroidery machine today, letting it embroider while I'm sewing bindings.

I'm having a lot of fun seeing what everyone is working on.

Not able to work in the sewing studio this weekend like I'd hoped, but I'm getting lots of inspiration from reading what others are doing!

    Default Virtual quilting weekend

I finished a baby quilt I had started last weekend. Didn't get much done last weekend so finished up now. Just a piano key border around a panel. I FMG it with a simple meander over all. I wanted it to be a soft quilt so didn't meander real close together. The little one was just born the day I completed it and didn't know the gender before but it is a boy, whose name is Thor. It'll work.

I've got 6 quilts left to bind - out of 18 total. Gotta run to the store this am and pick up more color catchers so I can get them all washed and ready to hand out.

Wow! Macybaby, you beat my efforts. I did the bindings on 7 of my 10! I plan to finish those 3 today, but ... I guess I'm a slow hand-stitcher. If I don't finish them today, hopefully, there's tomorrow.

I've been getting lots done with 2 VQWs in a row. Today I'm taking some strips to the hospital to cut into squares. My DH was admitted yesterday for gall stones...

I'm getting a little design help from my grand-doggy this weekend! Hope to get the borders cut and attached later today.

I've been working on another donation quilt. A friend handed me a stack of flannel plaid scraps. Somehow I got it in my head that I wanted to do a pattern with partial seams [kicking myself LOL]. This is the test block.
