I see most of you all have been busy. I have been busy finding fabric from my stash for the Judy mystery and the quilting bee block. I was wanting to get fabric for the whole year, verses just one block at a time. I cut out fabric for my quilting bee block and Judy's step #2. Now I can sew for an hour tonight. I can't sew too long, the Chiefs are playing tonight. I have to cheer them on and hope they come to play. We are up to 32F.
Macybaby, Your last VOW is beautiful.
Judy, Your pandas are so cute and colorful.
Qltnmom, love your selection of batiks. The patterns in the fabric so interesting and colorful.
Giquilt, l like your Garden Top.
Cangram, very pretty baby quilt.
NZ quilter, Great job on the BH mystery quilt, Your changes are great, very pretty.
Quilting Va, your penquins are so cute. I also like your purple pinwheel top.
117 becca, I like your quilting on the flower garden.
rryder, I like your baby quilt. I may use some of my 2 1/2" blocks and make one. By the way, I like the purple and pink row. I have also made baby quilts 45", so the baby could grow and keep the quilt longer.

Judy, I love the clamshell pandas! Is that a pattern or your own design?
Rob, to me the pinky-purple fabrics (maybe the floral in particular) are less clean and modern than the other colors. I don't know if the 50" is too big, but if it is 40" you can use a single piece of yardage for the back.
Rebecca, i saw a phto on Pinterest and then googled clam shell quilts and jumped in, i am really enjoying learning new
I'm making good progress on my curved log cabin blocks and might, maybe, get all the blocks done today. Definitely by Monday if things continue at this pace!

Thanks Sewbizgirl-- the design is not mine. I found it on a web site that had free patterns. It's called the Rainbow baby quilt. I used different size squares than the pattern called for, but it's basically the same layout.

Looks like you're all still hard at work! I pieced most of the quilt of valor today. But had to stop because my sewing table had a minor malfunction which involved my husband putting some wood glue on it. Has to dry overnight so that took care of sewing since I was too lazy to get another machine out! So I cut binding for several quilts, sandwiched three quilts and cut out stuff for a small wallhanging. Tomorrow I'll quilt the quilts and get them bound and hopefully finish piecing the QOV. This has been a very productive weekend for me; hope it has been for all of you as well.
Next VQW will be February 10-12 for those who want to put it on their calendars

Two Christmas Advent calendar panels spray basted and ready to quilt

Some pinwheel and 16 patches made from my En Provence project which I scrapped after deciding I just didn't love it

Patrice - it's just a stained glass pattern -
This is where I got the idea to do what I did - very simple. I did it a bit different in that I started with 9" blocks, cut them apart, mixed around the fabric and sewed them back together. I cut 90- 9" blocks (all different) and then divided them into 10 stacks. I left one hole, and laid out 9 cutting patterns for the others, not going smaller than 2"x2". I tried to use similar sizes so I would have more to mix and match when I put them back together.
