I made this for a housewarming gift to a couple of friends who just bought their first house. Their house is all neutral colors, grays, taupe, white trim. The girl commented to her mom that she needed a splash of color in the living room, so I got to work. I love this pattern by Cloud9, called “Around the block”. I named it “Envision”, for reasons they will understand. Their favorite color is teal, so hopefully I got enough of that in here along with some other brights to add the splash of color they were wanting.

So much happening here this weekend! I am in the middle of quilting the Jamestown Landing quilt for my son. This is the biggest one i have attempted on the sitdown Sweet 16 and I have to say it is a workout. Next really big quilt will go to a longarmer!

    Default Finally!

Finally done with this! I’m not totally thrilled with the end result, but I didn’t want to mess with a small 7/8 in floater border on such a large top before adding the pieced border, so I had to make it bigger. Can’t wait to get this one quilted and bound and a new home found!

This is a Nine Patch that sat for a while. Now that the top is done, I need to think of how I want to quilt it. I am thinking about calling it "Altered" because this is not your ordinary Nine Patch.

I took a class Saturday from John Kubiniek of Big Rig Quilting. Today I sewed these 3 blocks for a table runner. But I want to sash them and can't decide what color. I'm sure it will come to me in my sleep LOL

Finished for the day. Top & bottom borders and most of the body are quilted. Now I need to turn the quilt and reload it so I can do the side borders. But first I need to deal with the extra fabric on the left side. I think I’ll have to take a couple tucks. Anyone have suggestions?

Got the binding sewn on to the seven quilts I was hoping too today. Will glue fronts while I watch the Patriots play tonight.
Yesterday DH and I broke down the new to me Grace frame from 10 feet to 5 since I don't make large quilts any more. Had to wait for parts from Grace company to show up to do it. They came the end of last week. It's now in the studio with the machine on it. Now to make my leaders. After a lot of reading on here I bought the pillow ticking. Plan to use red snappers to load the quilts.
    Go Patriots.
