What great progress everyone. Just stopping by to see what's up. Can I count going to Road 2 CA yesterday as part of my VQW? The quilts were amazing. Way too many vendors to look at. I did not buy any fabric, Yeah!

I won BOM at quild earlier this month. I am sewing a few more to make the throw. Using my stash so that is good. Trying to decide if I want to do QAG method on the blocks. I have a goal to finish it before next months meeting and will donate it instead of adding to UFOs.

Great fun with you all this weekend! Looking forward to our next one in February. This really helped me set goals and stay focused on my project this weekend. So, thank you! You are all so talented and, man, can you guys hustle. Hand sewing, Lomg-arming, piecing...geesh! Some of you did all of this in one weekend. Amazing!

krista...have a safe and wonderful retreat. Look forward to hearing about your adventure!

I'm not actually being that nice. Two of the cars that he works on are mine and I want to protect them!

I got one of the two done today. I'm using up leftover batting scraps so it takes me a while to piece two layers of batting together. There's a top made from an old car cover, 2 layers of batting and a flannel back. They are 32 by 40 to cover the big fat fenders of his 34 Ford.

Sewbizgirl, I love your bright colored quilt. Some lucky child will love it!

Judy, I have that pattern and even started cutting it out a few weeks ago. I think that needs to be my next project! Yours is so cute.

I didn’t get as far as I was hoping to since life got in the way, but I did finish piecing the top for my FIL. Small victories.

DH grabbed me before I got to the LA for projects I wanted him to finish. Then finally got out to LA and started the first pass. Might be Tuesday before I can get back to it.

Been fun seeing and talking. See you next mo for VQW

I had another distraction from working on my UFO! This time a request from my daughter for an emergency baby quilt! see results on this board at this thread: Emergency Baby Shower Quilt

At least I was sewing during the Virtual Sewing weekend...even in the middle of the night! Don't know where the quilt went or to whom (my daughter snatched it up an hour after it was completed). At least I got a pic of it. LOL

I am in awe of the amazing quilting going on, both during this VQW and on a regular basis. It is truly a wonderful source of inspiration and encouragement. Thank you all for posting your awesome photos.

I took advantage of the VQW to finish piecing my Scrappy Double Irish Chain, posted on this thread.
