After a couple of false starts with my customer quilts (one backing not pieced, and one too small) I decided it was time for a change and did some work on my miniature Giraffe Abstractions quilt. Working this one from the top down, so I can look at his cute face

I started this a few days ago and will be working on finishing it up. It is for The September table runner swap.

17" x 52". Changing the corner blocks, I think they too heavy looking.

Thanks! It is Giraffe Abstractions by Violet Craft. I reduce the templates by 50% for this one (already made the full size 54x60" version).

I love your giraffe, Krista! Loved the big one you showed before...

I've been getting the borders on my Aunt Bea's Parlor quilt. The top is now done! The baskets of flowers are all different and all hand embroidered. I enjoyed that so much. Fabrics are all feedsack reproductions.

Then I put together some Quick Strippie quilts for charity donations. These make up so cute and take no time to piece!

Love the giraffe Kristakz! Here's the top I've been working on this weekend. It was a 3 year old UFO that I decided I didn't like so I took the strip sets and 9 inch blocks I had originally made and cut them up into 5" squares, then added the light colored batiks to make 4 patch units, then decided to turn some into disappearing 4 patches, then decided to turn the whole thing into a modern quilt and then...

Long story short, I had intended to make it a wall quilt, but it kept getting bigger. I had to lay it on the king sized bed to get the photo since I don't have a big enough wall...maybe I ought to go ahead and put borders on it and make it a king size bed quilt LOL.... Decisions decisions....

    Nice progress everyone!

I've been too busy sewing to take pictures, I'll see about getting some when I get a few more rows complete. I had high hopes of being much farther along at this point, so I'm heading to my sewing room to get back to work. These applique rows can take a lot longer than the pieced ones.

I had visions of having the quilt done so I could take it in on Tuesday, I'm thinking that is not going to happen!
