...I've been getting the borders on my Aunt Bea's Parlor quilt. The top is now done! The baskets of flowers are all different and all hand embroidered. I enjoyed that so much. Fabrics are all feedsack reproductions.

Love the giraffe! I started to really like paper peicing like that. I've got a dragon pattern I really want to make.
Been working furiously on the Row by Row. I have one more row to finish (I'm coloring it with crayons) and then I'll have all 12 complete and I can make the center ( that is where the plates go) and then put them all together.
Here are the ones I completed this weekend. Was getting tired of applique so the petals are sewn, turned and left loose (like a real sunflower)
I added the "wall drug" sign. That is the mileage from my house where the quilt will be on display.
This is the one that took the longest, but I decided to free hand satin stitch the panel with the words.
These next two were already cut, so I only did the stitching this weekend. This one had three birds around each birdhouse, but I figured if there were three birds, there is probably some fighting going on.
I made different quilts for this, the pattern had applique and I wanted pieced. They are 2" square.
This one just needed the pheasant appliqued on
This one was done except for the embellishments. It was suppose to be yo-yo flowers, but I could not get them to turn out decent so gave up and went with something I knew I could do. This is the one I modified the most - so it looks like my house!

How fun to see and hear what everyone is doing....
Tomorrow is the due date for hospital auction quilts, so I've been sewing frantically on two minis. All that's left is to hand stitch the bindings...Will try to post pics when finished...

I worked on my sunflower table runner to change the corners.
I made this today as a trial block for my next wall hanging for Rhondas Wall Hanging Swap. It is hand appliqued and made this one for some practice. I never did hand applique before. So far I am pleased.

Finally to the floppy stage!
I was thinking of taking tomorrow off work to start quilting - but I decided not to, I need a day to rest.
Been at the sewing machine almost constant since about 5 am.
This one shows the colors better.

I completed 2 of my projects. I made a block that I mail out for a swap. I mailed out 4 bd candy square packages. I worked on my AK Crossroad quilt and decided on how to do the final 3 borders. I will continue to sew on it for the next 2 days. I'll post pics when I get it done. And I did start sewing on my log cabin blocks. So I made progress with my 2 days of sewing.
