Virtual Quilting Weekend--July 26-28, 2019
Welcome to our Virtual Quilting Weekend. The next one will be Labor Day weekend (August 29-September 2). What are you all working on this weekend? I am finally all caught up on the various blocks of the month/week so will be working on a couple projects that have been laying around. I look forward to seeing what exciting projects everyone else will have.

I hope to make some placemats as both of my guilds have requested them. They will be donated to meals on wheels to brighten their mealtime. If I get to it, I'll quilt a donation top that I put together the other day. And my couch project is putting edging on the donation afghan I made this month.

I plan to quilt a baby quilt this weekend.
I'm way behind on the 52 Blocks in 52 Weeks Challenge (I think I'm on block 8) so I may work on that.
I've also got a bee in my bonnet to make a free-form something with a hole in the middle that looks like this and I have no idea how....so, I may give that a go.

I have a baby quilt to finish for my great grandson to be. Also have 2 Xmas stockings to make. After that I will start on the African Queen blocks. It just looks interesting and has been on my list for a while. I hope to at least start those blocks.

I will continue deep cleaning my sewing room which I started today. I will only have Saturday to make progress on it, as tomorrow I clean my dad's house and have zero energy left. I might finish binding a doll quilt.
Sunday we are celebrating our 28 year old son's graduation. He just earned his M.S. Finance from the University of Baltimore. Proud mama here!

Well it will be a quilt related weekend for me even if I am not doing much quilting. One of the shows I go to each year starts on Friday. The guild my small group belongs to also has a show that begins on Saturday.
I'm working on putting sashing on my Postcard blocks and trying to motivate myself to do some paper piecing... got the table cleared off, the papers and fabrics are ready to go, everything is great except my attitude! LOL, maybe seeing what other people do will get me going.
Always glad to take part in these weekends, it does help me get going.

I'm in--plan to put my black & sunflower "stax n' whack" quilt on the LA either tomorrow or Sat. and start quilting it. Look for pearly looking Hot Fix beads for another quilt, and start working on designs for quilting on a couple of friends' quilts, too.

This does look interesting. I may have to make one of those for my bestie.
