Virtual Quilting Weekend--March 12-14, 2021
Good afternoon! Since I'm working in my sewing room this afternoon, I decided to go ahead and start the thread early. I have a pile of 11 kids quilts to quilt and bind, some wool applique blocks of the month, March UFO, next clue in Sew on the Go 60s mystery quilt, some EPP homework. So I have plenty to work on this weekend and obviously won't get it all done!
So what are you working on this weekend??
Next VQW is April 16-18, 2021.

Thanks for hosting again Heather!
I'm in again, I got the center of my Grassy Creek quilt all sewn together and I am trying to decide on the borders before I start cutting fabric. I think I should have enough fabric to get them all done. I really want to get this done before the end of the month so I can start working on 2 Christmas gifts.
I am looking forward to seeing what everyone is working on!

There's what I need - ambition!!!! And accountability.
I need to quilt the borders on a king size quilt, assemble the center of another king so I can ship it to Missouri Star for quilting and I want to make a spring table runner for the living room.
If I can find all the pieces, I want to get my basting table set up and baste at least two hand appliqued quilts with two layers of batting and one king size with one layer.
Too many UFOs hangin' around here! Let's move 'em all out!

Basting, quilting, binding PL quilts.
Found a mother load of plastic bags under my cutting table storing pieces of batting. Can't remember the sizes but I have a new roll of fusible strips to make larger and larger bats.
Think I'll start the weekend early! So much to do, so little time. Sleep cuts into my sewing time.

Thank-you Heather for hosting and starting early (I just love early). Hello everyone else.
I did finish my Chief’s quilt and Grinch throw quilt.
My goals this weekend: 1. finish making 24 FG and block #4 on my jelly roll Snowflake mystery from Pat Sloan. I’m borrowing from face book pattern and combining the 2 tops to create my version of the Snowflake. I’m using fq’s verses jelly roll. (Thursday & Friday project). 2. Make 8 more blocks for my 100 block challenge from last year. I finally dug and found from my stash fabric for the last 8 blocks. Then I will put together and border this project. (Friday project). 3. Saturday & Sunday project = quilt both tops. Then hand bind for Monday’s guild meeting. Both are work in progress. 3. Get several different items together for guild meeting. I also need to sew 6 Star blocks for guild. That should keep me entertained for the next 4 days. Tuesday, = clean house.
enjoy sewing.

Last face mask panel came today and all have been wash/dried. Cut them apart and plan a lay out for at least 3 quilts. Panels have skull, pig/cow nose, lips with zipper going across, silly quotes such as If you can read this you are too close. Letters get smaller. This is going to be so much fun. This one will be so much fun!!!
