Finished. It's on stretcher bars, no binding. The art gallery is changing it's exhibit this week to winter/holidays.
It is improvisational pieced. Reminded me of houses, so it got roofs, chimney and smoke. Then railing on the fron and a road. Finished it reminded me of old cabins at the lake. There are also 6 companion pieces 10x12".

I love this! The dotted fabric rising from the bottom really gives this some life and movement. Very nice!

Such great finishes and progress on everyone's projects. Too many to comment on.
RaggieMom = Yes I would love a VQW on NYD. If you decided to go from Dec 29th to Jan 2nd. I would be in as well. Hint, Hint, Hint.
I did not get to my projects as stated earlier. I got side tracked, BHMQ 2017-2018 called my name. I picked out 3 colors, just need 2 more yards of tourques. Have to go downstairs for that. Then I moved objects from one place to another in my sewing room. Still looks cluttered. I sewed one side of my binding on my purple spring quilt, need to pin and sew the other side. Didn't start the other quilt top. Yesterday, I felt under the weather, so B/C I'm doing better I'm doing a little more today. I decided to pull out my angle and tree material to finish those projects. See you all next month. Happy sewing/quilting.

I have really enjoyed seeing what everyone worked on yesterday. I quilted Friday and finished a UFO. But spent most of yesterday in bed sleeping thanks to the head cold my husband shared with me! I hope to finish another project today as I would like to put in the mail this week. Then I will try to figure out how to get pictures on the i-phone saved to OneDrive so I can access them on my computer and share!
Will check back in later.
Also, wondered if there would be any interest in a one day VQW on New Years Day?

Thank you for the VQW! Should be able to to make the next one. Not sure where we will be for the NYD one, but if I'm home I'm in! Mondays quilting was fun, except for the thread breaking a lot. Michelle cleaned the machine and a different bobbin then things chugged along nicely. It's not perfect but for my first long arm I'm happy. In a perfect world I would love to have one myself but no way to justify the expense or the room it takes. So I will be just as happy to rent the machine.
Here is the quilt, I am currently hand stitching down the binding.

Was a good weekend! Loved everyone's projects the houses are to die for! Love the colors. And the blue reindeer makes me want to buy the fabric, and make a small one for myself. I love blues and purples.

I worked a little on this over last weekend, finished this week. It’s one of my quillows for my niece. She wanted earth tones with horseshoes. One side of the quilt part is brown horses and the other side is black background with shades of small tan horseshoes. It’s hard to tell, but it’s very fluffy and a soft cotton. I’m giving it to her tomorrow.
