Today I'm quilting my boy grandlamb's quilt. I ran out of basting spray with only the bottom 18" or so along the bottom unbasted. So I went old school and pulled out the basting pins. Can't remember the last time I did that, but it beats running out to JoAnn's and losing all sorts of precious time.

Working some more on the feather borders of my 19th Mystery Train Ride quilt. If I don't run out of this particular variegated thread it will be a miracle!

Considering starting to piece my 20th Mystery Train Ride, which is on my design wall. Not sure I'm up to tackling that today.

    Default On a roll today

Finished my latest quilt top today. It’s my own design for some 2 1/2 inch strips. What’s next? I have so many projects waiting in line it’s hard to decide. Potholders for gifts, cuddle baby quilts, blocks of the month, accent of the month? I need sustenance first.

I forgot about this. I have the first border on two sides of a Christmas quilt. I also just changed the outer border. The quilt is 9 patches with white sashing with stars at the corner squares. I had a black with Christmas cookies picked as the last border but it was too heavy. I just found a green print background with Santas on them that I think will work much better. Off to see the next two borders. I am hoping to get it basted on Monday when I have the entire day.

Love everything people have been working on.

qltnmom, love your beautiful quilt top! Will you do a strand of feathers in the white section?

Kelly, so envious that you got to go to the Houston quilt show! Hope you take some pictures.

Cute, Thimblebug. I still have my MS RxR kit to put together. I was just going to make it into a wall hanging.

I got my Double Irish Stars BOW all caught up this afternoon (from Piecing the Past). Here are the 4 blocks I made (3 of each):

And these are the additional blocks I made to enlarge hubby's bed quilt. Had to make 10 more brown stars and 11 more blue stars. That's it. Now to assemble and add to the quilt.

    Super scrappy!

I did not get back to quilting on the lap quilt (sashings and borders). Maybe tonight, after supper...

Well, I sewed all day and only have a single block to show. But I really enjoyed the class with Bonnie Hunter!

Working on The Splendid Sampler. Making my blocks in all shades of blue. I am adding some blocks that I prefer and taking out the ones I don't care for. I think because it is my quilt, I will make it the way I want. LOL

Great to see what you look like, Kathy. Pretty lady and pretty block... and it looks like Bonnie was having even more fun than her students.
