Virtual Quilting Weekend--Sept 2-5, 2022
#51
Well I finished the quilting on my flag wall hanging--then I had to take out one roe. I had never threaded this machine nor put in a new bobbin until today.Put the bobbin in backwards so I had little hiccups all along the last row of quilting. NOT going to send anything looking like that so I had to sit there and take out the entire row. Will be putting it back in today and taking it to the guild quilt day tomorrow so if they see anything that needs fixing. If the don't find any problems I will hand baste the binding around and place the hanger shash so it can be placed on a curtain rod of their choice and put it on their wall.
Will post picture after it is completely finished with the shash and boarder
Will then work on mine.

The weekend has come to and end and I completed two of my three quilting projects. One is in post #41 and below is the second. I am really liking the enlarged Arkansas Crossroads pattern. It makes a very generous baby quilt finishing at 48 X 48. Add sashing between blocks and frame it with a coordinating fabric and it might do as a throw. The third quilt is slightly more than half quilted. Ah, considering it a successful VQW! See everyone in October.

I'm sorry to have missed this one, I was in the hospital for a few days with an unretractable migraine and made it home on the 1st of September, then spent the weekend away from my laptop. I really wanted to make some bowl cozies for this VQW and was looking forward to it.
I've looked at everyone's projects, as usual, everything is beautiful! Well done, ladies!
Will see everyone in October!

Our remodeling project went well but I was so busy I didn't get any sewing done for VQW. Yesterday though, I took a class for this cute Halloween pillow cover. The binding needs to be sewn down, but it went together quickly.

Cute pillowcover QuiltingVagabond!
Stacy- I hope you're feeling better soon. Migraines suck!
I got some quilting done on one quilt, got the painting started on another and some more embellishments put on the UFO art quilt. Not everything on my list, but a good weekends' work/play.
thanks for hosting Heather.
See everyone next VQW!

I'm working the background in a dark navy blue--our uniform color--so each picture will complement the navy blue. I'm thinking of making the back side a light medium blue for the state police with a squad protected by an angel. I'm also thinking about adding the Police Officer's Prayer. Haven't decided that one for certain. It's the one they pray every day both shifts as David & Vicki work opposite shifts due to policy. I have the fabric for the top but will have to find the right shade for the backing. I'll post pictures as it develops.
