You have inspired me -- I want to join your group! I have 3 backs to piece and 6 blocks to make for the Stitcher's Garden quilt.

Yes my day went a little different too! My friend called to see if she could bring her brother over for the afternoon. It was a nice visit and I will hopefully get back to sewing tomorrow. Did manage to choose fabrics and press the freezer paper to my 5th bear block so not a complete bust.

I, too, had a break in the sewing action....when my newly-replaced-just-yesterday-blade "bit" me pretty good on the middle left finger across the middle knuckle. Bleeding, oh my goodness!....decided I probably would need stitches to keep it from opening every time I move it. So, I drove myself to the ER 25 minutes away, riding with my hand in the air, muttering to myself for my foolishness.

They put in 3 stitches -- numbing the finger was by far the worst part! I was out in an hour, a record time for an ER visit. But the big ole bandage will keep me out of the sewing room tonight. I was just beginning to cut for a new quilt, too, fudge, darn, and phooey!

Rob, your setting is genius; I love it!

Oh Jan, been there, done that!! You were right to go get stitches though, it will heal so much faster! You will be hurting tonight, but it will be much better tomorrow I hope!

Just cutting scraps this weekend... seems like the more I cut the more needs to be cut. Cutting bigger pieces with Accuquilt Studio and then sub-cutting into all sorts of sizes and shapes. http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...g-t281914.html

Tomorrow afternoon I hope to finish a 3.5"X 6.5" brick SCRAPPY flimsy that has been in progress on the design wall for over 2 weeks. I got to a point that I needed a lot more lights to finish. That is when I started looking in scrap boxes and decided that I needed a break from sewing to just cut, cut, cut.

Nothing like a little accident to throw well laid plans out the window...hope it heals fast, Jan...only an hour in ER...lucky you...I guess.

Almost done with a 48x60 denim flimsy ...better get it done...

We've been out of town for my sister-in-law's funeral since Thursday... just got home tonight. I was away from my sewing machine but I did take my Hawaiian quilt project with me and nearly finished all the needleturn applique. (In this photo the dolphin ring was only pinned in place.) Haven't decided yet if I'll hand quilt it or machine quilt, but I'm almost there!
