Just drop back in here during the weekend, and post your progress (or lack of) and check out what everyone else is working on. It's great motivation to know you're not the only one sewing away

Ooh, I finally can catch a VQW on a weekend when I'm planning to be home sewing! We are supposed to have rain, so it will be a perfect afternoon to sew. I am still working on buckeye blocks for a bed-sized scrap quilt. Hurt my shoulder at the gym and the one thing that causes me the most pain is using the rotary cutter... so I will mostly sew and not trim tomorrow.

Can I ask one favor tho? When someone posts a photo, please try to comment. Otherwise it feels like sewing alone...

Krista, I love your quilt! Such gorgeous blues!

Have been in my sewing room since yesterday, but not quilting. I belong to a church group that sews for preemies and donates the little shirts and blankets to hospitals. When I left the last sew-in, I picked up a few shirts that were ready to stitch. So I've been working on those and plan to finish the remaining shirts tomorrow and Sunday. I've been itching to work on a quilt project but want to finish these before I start anything new.

And yes, Krista. I love the blues. That backing is pretty enough for the quilt to be reversible.

Well, I finished quilting my MIL's quilt tonight. Whew. Hoping I can get up early tomorrow to put the binding on. We are seeing them at 3 and I have another appointment at 9. Yikes.

I'll be popping in and out of my sewing room. Not sure if I'll be doing any piecing or quilting. I foolishly thought the batiks wouldn't need to be starched but found out otherwise when I did a tester block. Now I'm in the middle of apply starch with a paint brush on all the cut pieces. They are slowly drying on a large trash bag spread on the floor.

Krista, that quilt is gorgeous! I love the blue tones coupled with the black. Very nice work!

Oooh, Krista, that quilt is yummy!
I'll be working on my gfg all weekend. I'm hoping to get it finished (the quilt top, not the whole thing) as i'm going to the festival of quilts this week and I'd like to have my brain clear of current projects so that I can find some new ones while i'm there! If I get it finished in time I'll post a photo!

I just woke up to rainy weather so no lawn mowing so I may get to sew. Maybe I can get my top done from my sewing cruise from Alaska.
