And finally I#ve done the quilting: it's for the first time I quilted each block with another pattern! Because this quilt isn't too big I can handle it with my normal sewing machine! Here are some pictures: front side of the block and the back, because the quilting shows up much better!

These are only a few blocks, I don't know whether it is allowed to make a link to my picasa album:

There can all the blocks and the quilting be seen!

Wow! Your quilts are beautiful, 1000scraps. I love them. So much history, dedication, and love in every detailed inch. You should be quite proud of yourself. Thank you for sharing them with me (us).

Beautiful quilt. I was looking around the site to find the patterns but can't seem to find blocks and directions for them. I did get the coffee mug one. Looks like they all might be on the blockbase program?
4 years of working on it was worth the effort!

You can find the patterns on Barbara Brackmans blog: "Grandmother's Choice"!

    http://grandmotherschoice.blogspot.de/

Throughout 2012/13 there was a block every Saturday fitting to the theme "rights for women", barbara told a little story behind the block and one got to know how women lived in the early 19th century!

Regina, Your quilt is beautiful. Love your choice of fabrics. It will be an heirloom quilt and will be cherished by your daughter and grandchildren.
