I'm getting over a cold so didn't feel like sewing much. Instead I've been pressing all the rows for my thousand pyramid quilt to get them ready to stitch together. Pressing is good for when I'm muddle-headed, when I make mistakes and press the wrong way it is easy to fix.

I didn't think I would have a chance to participate this weekend but have been reading what everyone is doing. This weekend I went to a football game (youngest DGS is in the marching band), got groceries, got meals, ran errands, took the dog to the vet, packed to go to the cottage and then drove to the cottage today but I did get 144 nine patch squares done! The nine patches are homespun scraps and will be a quilt for the cottage. Going to alternate the nine patches and a square of homespun. And I thought they would be dull! Forgot, I making this quilt on my Featherweight. That's my sewing machine at the cottage - don't have much room.

I put a sleeve on a wall hanging for my son, and got some handstitching done on a challenge quilt. Not as much quilting as I had hoped (and today I drive my son back to school, so no quilting at all), but it's always fun watching what everyone is up to on these weekends.

I'm impressed, everyone did a great job!

The tree-skirt is so cute... I love your red and white fabrics. And I also love all those little blue squares.

I think blue quilts are my favorites (until I see a red/white and then I think that red/white are my favorites, and then I see a scrappy... and so on, LOL).

My little project is ready to quilt, next weekend I will try to do the quilting:

This top is proving to be very difficult to get a picture of! First DH took a fuzzy one... and now this is my effort. Anyway... you get the idea, I now have my Row by Row top finished. And heading out to DD's for her launch party of Mary Kay.
